  2. Cat, be sure to see Bill's posts to you on the previous thread.

  3. We got .74" of rain today. It came down fast and furious while I was at work at the library. Too bad, too, as one person had a diabetic reaction and had to be ambulanced, and her car was still there at the end of the day, locked, with one of its back windows open a little bit. I wish we'd seen that before it poured, as we could have spread plastic over it.

  4. Cool, gray, rainy day. Muggy. Made it to the store. The Jerusalem artichoke everywhere, and patches of New York Iron weed. Glorious! Contemplative coupe of days all told.

  5. From Wednesday's thread (although the headline says it was posted Thursday night): "LOL do we all grow more harmless as we grow older? That's a scary thought!"

I don't think I'm getting more harmless as I grow older. Maybe I fly off the handle a bit less, although the evidence is ambiguous. But in some important ways I feel I may be more effective. Which is the opposite of "harmless" in many respects.

  6. Bill, you may have missed the context of our conversation. We were referring to "harmless" in the President-and-intern sense of the word.

    1. I saw that as the original context, but thought Cat was using the term in a much broader sense. indeed, I can't quite relate to her remark in that sense.

    4. Indeed, Bill read me right.

Interesting, Bill. I suppose t he increased effectiveness comes with greater life experience among other things.
