  1. Dean has the Glory 'round here!

Sorry this popped up late. I had inadvertently posted two for April 5th and none for the 4th! Ha! We're good now.

  2. Spent my Wednesday looking for something to wear to the baby shower. I must be the only woman in Vermont who can spend 2.5 hours in the mall and not buy a single thing. So then I went to a small shop and found at really pretty green top in a leaves pattern. It will serve!

ONE more seam and the quilt top is shower-ready!

    1. Shower-ready, eh? Sorry, but I can't help wondering if that means it's waterproof?

    2. Baby shower, lol! And considering how leaky babies are, waterproof seems like a good idear, eh?

    3. Well it's 100% cotton: machine wash and tumble dry or hang to dry. :-)

  3. Kaffir lilies! Ours (multiplied from a gift one years and years ago) are doing well too.

My condolences re Uncle Tim, cat. Chronic dialysis is a hard road.

I just finished figuring out our federal tax return; some new-to-me forms and worksheets this year, but the bottom line is I set aside enough for what we owe (and some more--kind of a DIY refund), even with replacing our car that was totaled. (The jobs I had for the Navy came in awful handy car-wise.) State return tomorrow night. Beautiful day today (Wednesday), rumors of rain for the next several days, temperatures in the high 70's. We will see.

  5. Well, I survived Charlotte's Web dress rehearsal. Even with this hideous cold.

  6. Puddle, just saw the weather forecast you posted on FB. BRRR!

I must say, though, from a purely writerly point of view I got something of a kick out of it. Overcast with a chance of snow and rain. A chance of snow and rain after midnight. *scratches head* Erm... Does that mean you have double the ordinary chance of snow and rain? I mean, rather than 80%, shouldn't it be 160%? I think perhaps they should give meteorologists a class in basic English skills.

    1. Point, lol! It's now up to: 90% with accumulations up to 2 in. possible. And a Winter Weather Advisory.

    2. It just means they separate the dates and forecasts at midnight. Sure do love the term "Winter Weather Advisory" being used after the Spring equinox. ;-). Should be called a Spring Snow Advisory or a Sugar Snow Event.

  7. Spouse is waffling on whether we should spend the money to have the kids come to see me in the play. Oh for the love of--this is my first lead role. Ever! Yeah, money is tight, as always, but, come on, I'm playing CHARLOTTE in Charlotte's Web!
