I wanna sleep in today!

  1. Sounds as reasonable to me as does Howard Dean!

That was remarked upon during the first campaign, possibly by our Alan. I don't recall it's being pointed out in the wider media though."

    Not me.

I actually got caught up with my consulting work, amazing though it seems. The instruments I depend on are both working (well, they were Friday evening) and two or three court cases this coming week have gone away... And I slept in this morning! Nice. I wish a good week to everyone.

    1. (raising hand timidly). It was me (I). I remarked that he didn't look like his father, but like his maternal grandfather.

  2. Well they lowered the prediction to five inches last night. This morning, it's back up to seven inches, with two more to follow on Wednesday morning. I think they don't have a clue, lol!

  3. Our Maine Grands contingent left this morning. =Sigh= It was sooo good to have them here!!

I am quite tired, haven't showered, and need to decide whether I'm heading to town, taking a nap, quilting, or what. I need to do all of the above at the same time. Ha!

  4. Well, there's a candle floating around somewhere in the ether. Lit one, didn't take, so lit another, lol! Got one. Wish the line were a bit faster!

    Megan's last update:

    Day +6
    Posted 4 hours ago

Once again, I need to tell you just how much every single message means to me. They have brought me to tears this morning. I am so grateful for those who choose to walk this journey with us.
Last night I mentioned to the nurse how puffy Tanner looked. She agreed, but said some of the look of puffiness in the face was probably being caused by the cyclosporine. Well, his weight this morning was a full 3 kilos up from yesterday. That is 6.5 pounds! He also required a little oxygen last night. This all makes me feel unsettled. This is how Tanner started all his trips to the PICU during his first round in nov/dec. The doctors don't seem overly worried saying we will watch him. Hopefully I am just paranoid. The nurse last night also made me a little nervous when she said day 7-20 are the worst. But, we shall see. I am hopeful things won't get too miserable or scary for Tan. Creatinine (kidney function) is still up at .95, but has been stable the last couple days.
Last night Tanner kind of mumbled through his sleepiness, "I'm happy. I don't have to get the shots this time." I am grateful he is seeing silver linings.
    Love and hugs, Megan

    1. Serum creatinine = 0.95? Perfectly normal.

  5. THANK-YOU puddle and thank you too, Alan.

It seems to me that what might feel to Megan like "paranoia" is simply her normal powers of observation set on High due to the necessity of watching Tanner closely during this dark Valley he has to slog through this month. There may be hard days ahead, but it's just two weeks, not two months or years (they'll just feel like months and years!).

She sounds to be handling it all well, and Tanner does too. What a difference that makes!

    Prayers ongoing. ♡
