  3. I have no more miles to go before I sleep, lest I sleep through Margaret's service in the morning.

See you on the other side (of the service, that is!)....

  4.

Tomorrow --er, today, at this point--is the end of finals week. I *should* be able to finish grading by end of day.

  5. Got about a half inch of snow. So, contrary to tentative predictions, did the official weather station at O'Hare. So 2011 will not go down as the latest first snow on record (it's tied for 5th). Now bright and sunny but cold.

  7. Margaret's service was very nicely done (she picked out the readings and hymns herself, well in advance). The priest (who had also known her and visited her for some years) declared her a saint, from the pulpit; so her friends are now referring to her as St. Margaret. ;-)

Her family has decided not to sell her estate, but to keep it in the family and raise her great granddaughters (4 year old twins) remembering Margaret and coming to also love the land. We are all wildly joyful about this!

It was indeed a celebration of her life.

The seeker I meet with has come and gone, and now I have to scurry to finish cleaning house as my son emailed to say they'll be arriving 2 hours earlier than planned...!! AND! I had been planning to use this evening to work on Mah*Sweetie's Christmas gift! It must be completed before next weekend, as that's when our family gathers for the gift exchange part of Christmas. And it's all secret! Next chance to work on it is MONDAY!! Ayecarumba!

  8. Ah, listener, I'm glad it went so well. Nice to have an unprickley saint in one's life.

Got the instructions for the apt. and the maps today. Very clear. And much easier than google, lol!

Just realized that the appt. is on the 13th, which is ma lucky number! Good sign.
