Remember to wear purple today...

In memory of those who died because the shunning and bullying was too hard to bear,
and in support of gay persons, including those still in the closet, who may be very surprised
to see before them today how very many people wish them a good, long, and happy life!
This is a way to speak to them silently but vividly.

  2. Bill, my congressman has a safe seat, and I don't think, from what I can gather, the governor is in much danger of losing.

  3. I am wearing nearly all purple today...even underneath! LOL!

  4. I don't have any purple underneaths, so I'll just have to settle for a purple dress with pink flowers, and a pink sweater. Off to town in just a bit.

  5. My Congressman has a safe seat. Some call it the safest in the country. State Representative doesn't even have a challenger. But Gov. Quinn needs a really strong GOTV effort to pull the race out and the Senate race is too close for comfort.

  6. I didn't even think about it, but I notice I'm wearing a purple shirt. Not that it matters, since I probably won't leave the house.

  7. Had a fine time in town. Especially lovely if one *likes* spending munny, lol! But. Gotta lotta things done that needed doing; got propane paid for/ordered; got my med'cine cabinet caught up; a huge roast; my favorite lemon flavoring and minny other good things. Alas, when I got home, three emails frum the hunny wanting to talk. Boo. Hiss. And ah, well. They didn't have no turkeys either.

  11. Granddaughter*in*VT came over to play and she was wearing purple too! ;-)

We also figured out what we're doing for Thanksgiving, and got advance tickets to two plays: "The Toys Take Over Christmas" and "Twelfth Night."

This is a special Thanksgiving because it's also Daughter's birthday, and she was born on Thanksgiving. :-) That only happens once every 6 or 7 years.

  12. My shirt isn't truly purple, sort of deep pink with purple tendencies. But as I didn't leave the house either, it probably doesn't really matter.
