  1. From the bottom of the last thread...

Hallo All! Great to hear you get to set out your protest sign, Susan. It counts!!!
And great to hear that you get to participate safely, W.A.!
Wil and I will be out protesting too. I'll post photos of my new sign.
I know all of you will be cheering us on!

    1. I ought to have thought of this sooner!
Susan, if you (or your son) drive, it can be exhilarating to deliberately drive by one or more protests honking your horn like crazy! On the No Kings Day in October, one car drove through our big intersection at least four times, honking from every direction, and the passenger in the front seat was a woman with white hair, who was grinning ear to ear and giving us two thumbs up! She really cheered the crowd!!!

    2. Some of the cars honking were likely coming from other, earlier protests, because they had protest signs in the back seat windows!

  2. Organizers are hoping for 100,000 protesters today in Seattle, up from 70,000 June 14. The main protest is in Cal Anderson Park in Capitol Hill. There are also a number of neighborhood marches. I am attending one in the Ballard District, where I used to live. Hope we get 100K. Nothing like an illegal war to increase turnout. God bless you all. -- nordy

  3. No Kings Day! Bright (across the street) but cold. Even my heavy winter jacket ws a fraction short of adequate. I didn't do a sign, partially so my hands wouldn't freeze, but did wave at the honking cars on Oak Park Ave. I also joined many of the chants ("Hey, hey, ho, ho, ICE and Trump have got to go. ") I only lasted an hour and a quarter, but that was longer than most.

    1. It was super cold here too ... and the wind picked up ... then we got some snow. We last about as long as you did, W.A.. The event we were at was slated for an hour and a half, but we left 15 min early, so we could drive by honking. We had LOTS more people than last time!! I hope that's true all over. The organisers were counting everyone.

  4. Still awaiting the numbers from today, but there were 500 more registered events than last October and some are already saying "record numbers."
