W.A. ... I hear you. Most of us lasted 5-12 years at any job. So 25 years is a big deal. Daughter is also celebrating 10 years as a Partner with the company! Eldest has the sibling record, at 28 years. Then he got rehired a few months later for another job in essentially the same company. Wil holds the record in general, though...as he's had a small business running for 33 years.
Just sent a centerpiece of flowers to Daughter to celebrate. Shiloh (and his family still has) lived with her for 16 years. The household could use a pick-me-up. So good to have something to celebrate!!
He was on the helicopter to go out around the North Slope setting out audio devices that would prove the necessity of preserving the area for wildlife.
The road still requires a new environmental study, because President Biden disallowed the roads for the sake of the wildlife. It may be that the new study will say it's fine, depending on who in the Bureau of Land Management is a DT supporter.
I sincerely hope so! By then he may have passed on, be jailed, or about to be challenged after the Midterms! Plus, it would be October and basically winter up there. So no destruction (I hope) for at least a year and a half. Manomet Conservation Sciences lost a Summer's worth of data when the helicopter crashed, because all their audio equipment crashed too.

DeleteOn the day after Shiloh's birthday, DT approved a mining road through the part of the North Slope where he died.

DeleteLet's hope the road takes a really long time to build and that DT is no longer in power, so it gets stopped.
DeleteThe environmental study itself is likely to take a year or more.
