cloudy and moderately foggy today. naomi tossed leftover turkey bones over the back fence this morning. when miyoko went out this afternoon to do a bit of gardening she saw one of the neighborhood cats, which ran away quickly as a dog-like animal came bounding up out of the old canal below the cliff---must have been a coyote, but we haven't heard any for a long time. yesterday miyoko saw a kit fox on our street. ----alan
