    1. That's understandable. I have been feeling kind of bad for the Bidens, what with the cancer diagnosis coming when they finally should be able to enjoy their private lives together.

    2. Exactly. And to make it worse, everyone from DT to Jake Tapper have been kicking them while they're down. I was so grateful that some folks in an airport spontaneously applauded Joe Biden when they saw him there!

  2. The bond market is an economic lie detector test. And Trump is failing it.

Investors are worried that the Trump administration and the Republican Congress are engaged in set of actions that will both lower growth and raise interest rates, a toxic combination. The GOP bill doesn’t just add unprecedented trillions to the debt; it takes health coverage and nutritional support from poor people to very partially offset big tax cuts for the wealthy. There’s nothing in there that would lead an objective person to think there’s anything pro-growth about it. -- nordy

    1. Hmmm...all I can think of is the thalidomide babies of the late 50's and early 60's, whose mothers took thalidomide for morning sickness and they were born with birth defects.

    2. Yes, that is what it was/is infamous for. But it has those other two very good uses.
