There’s nothing on my ballot today…no state or local elections, and any town questions will be tended to via Town Meeting early next year. But I am sure watching the races and returns! One more awful year ‘til we turn the tide and throw the bums out!
AND! (A little drum roll here, please) I slept 11.5 hours last night!!! How? The ENT doc’s nurse (Dave) told me it’s fine for me to use decongestant and anti-inflammatory meds! So, hurrah for Advil Cold & Sinus…! I feel human again! Good news, especially after learning that the insurance rejected the new med the ENT doc prescribed. It’s truly ironic. The insurance would only pay for the surgery…if it comes to that…if a person has done at least a six week trial with that new med and the med has not worked. But they won’t pay for the med because they claim it only treats the symptoms. Well, if they’re so sure it only treats the symptoms, why do they require the six to 12 week trial before surgery? π€·π»♀️ But at least the cost of insurance is going up, while we pay out of pocket. Bernie is right. We need our healthcare system overhauled.
SilverScripts. But apparently this med is complicated. It's okay if you're using it like an inhaler, but not for nasal rinse...even though the insurance company requires that it be used for 6-12 weeks before they will pay for a surgery.
Cost is $200/month at Walgreens, $111 at a supermarket pharmacy, and just learned from nurse Dave that it's $120 for a 3 month supply at a pharmacy 2 hours south of us. I hope they mail.
Question: Is there a Plan D that will pay for Budesonide for nasal rinse? Answer: No. In general, Medicare prescription drug plans (Part D) do not cover this drug.
We’re getting multiple reports that independents in Chester County, Pennsylvania (a Democratic-leaning area) have been left off the voter rolls. They’re being told to fill out provisional ballots, the same ones MAGA often tries to claim shouldn’t be counted. State officials say they’re working to deliver updated poll books to all polling stations. If you see any attempts to interfere with voting, report them immediately. We’re monitoring in real time and will keep pushing updates throughout the day. Sorry, if we flood your timeline.

GOVERNOR'S RACES: In the first race call of the night, NBC News projected that Democrat Abigail Spanberger has defeated Republican Winsome Earle-Sears in the Virginia governor's race. She will become the state's first female governor. In New Jersey, Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill faces Trump-backed Jack Ciattarelli in the governor's election. Polls closed at 8 p.m. ET there.
Whoo hoo! Well done California!! They have voted for Proposition 50... with 64% of the vote in, it's running 64.6% to 35.4% IN FAVOUR!! So, California would gerrymander to balance out the Republican gerrymandering. THANK YOU, ALAN!! ✔️
Pennsylvania Democrats defended the liberal majority on the state Supreme Court Tuesday, CNN’s Decision Desk projects, blocking GOP efforts to flip the balance of power ahead of the next presidential election.
Justices Kevin Dougherty, Christine Donohue and David Wecht were retained for new 10-year terms. They faced no opponents, only a yes-or-no vote on whether to extend their tenures on the state Supreme Court.
FYI, when I post from CNN, I am posting from their CNN-lite site, which requires no registration. We were first told about that site by puddle, because it doesn't have photos or other difficult to download content. She was able to load it with her wobbly internet setup.

DeleteWhat insurance do you have? I thought Medicare Part D plans had a published list of what meds are covered at what level.

Oh, darn!
DeleteYeah. It's okay. I can afford $120 every three months. But I sure don't like paying for coverage that doesn't cover.
