I saw the cardiologist this afternoon. She said my heartbeat is normal on current medication and set my next appointment a year from now. She also insisted that heart rhythm couldn't cause sleep apnea, contradicting both the sleep specialist and what I read online. I got the feeling that she was totally unaware of central sleep apnea and that it was distinctly different from the more common obstructive sleep apnea.
