  2. CNN is reporting that Trump may try to ban guns for transgender people. "Senior officials weighing proposals to limit transgender people's right to possess firearms, sources say. Talks, described as preliminary in nature, appear to follow Minneapolis church shooting." CNN goes on to note that the vast majority of mass attacks in US have no connection to transgender people. -- nordy

    1. I'm glad that I have no urgent need to cross the line into Chicago. Trump is successfully creating the fear he desires.

  4. Kennedy Center ticket sales take a nosedive after Trump takeover
Guardian: Ticket sales at the Kennedy Center have continued to plummet following Donald Trump’s takeover of Washington DC’s premier performing arts venue, with the prestigious Stuttgart Ballet expected to dance next month to houses less than 20% full.

Audiences are “voting with their feet to skip out” on shows that would once have been packed, in protest at the US president inserting himself into the center’s management and operations as its new chairman, amid discussions around the notion of renaming it after Trump, according to an analysis by the Washingtonian magazine. -- nordy

US considers banning Iranians from shopping at Costco during UN meeting

AP: The Trump administration already has denied visas for Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and his large delegation to attend a high-level U.N. meeting this month and is now considering ramping up restrictions on several other delegations that would severely limit their ability to travel outside New York City.
The movements of Iranian diplomats are severely limited in New York, but one proposal being floated would bar them from shopping at big, members-only wholesale stores like Costco and Sam’s Club without first receiving the express permission of the State Department. -- nordy

  6. Hallo from Plymouth Massachusetts!
We are here overnight, after going to the Van Gogh exhibit at the Boston Museum of Art. Tomorrow we will see Shiloh’s photography exhibit at the [HUGE!] public library here. Then we head to NH for a birthday party, enroute home.
    Just one glitch…
I have too much swelling at the back of my nose to be able to breathe in or out through my nose and sleep. Last night I managed less than one hour of sleep. Tonight looks the same. If all else fails I will sit up and relax my body,,until I can call my allergist.
    Send me good hopes!
