Not all waterlogged and smooshy like the store bought ones. She lived on an island in Ohio in the middle of the Miami River (can't remember if it was Great Miami or Little Miami). Very exotic to us younguns. The outhouse was a two-holer, and we actually used it when out playing until a flash flood washed it away. I don't remember any bad smell about it. I think some people used to sprinkle lime down the hole from time to time. Don't know if Grandma did that.SusanDnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15940389.post-24729393746798920202010-09-19T14:49:24.000-04:002010-09-19T14:49:24.000-04:00Hi guys!Hi guys!Catreonanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15940389.post-83367770385054544902010-09-19T14:28:03.000-04:002010-09-19T14:28:03.000-04:00Just wanted to say: as one with in indoor outhouse...Just wanted to say: as one with in indoor outhouse (composting toilet), they're easy enough to keep good smelling (assuming you like the smell of compost) by just keeping them aerated ~~ it's letting them go anaerobic that causes the odor problem. . . . Just sayin'. . . .puddlenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15940389.post-48975048373085510122010-09-19T12:50:23.000-04:002010-09-19T12:50:23.000-04:00That happens to me too, Susan.
