PERSIST!

  1. You’ve probably heard that DT HAS FILED A $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The NY Times.
Unlike CBS and ABC, they’re not backing down.

    This, from Occupy Democrats:

Speaking at a Financial Times conference, NY Times CEO Meredith Kopit Levien declared “the lawsuit has no merit. It lacks any legitimate legal claims. I believe its purpose is to stifle independent journalism, to deter the kind of fact-based reporting that the Times and other institutions are known for.”

“The New York Times will not be cowed by this,” said Levien, who went on to compare Trump’s actions to those taken by dictators in other countries.

Hmmm, maybe folks who cancel ABC’s Disney+ will subscribe to the NY Times.

  2. Well, another night with less than two hours of sleep, and my nose is still totally plugged, so no nap possible yet either. Had a conversation with the folks at the ENT doc and they moved my appt up from October 20th to October 17th. Also talked with a nurse from my PCP's office. She's out today but they took info to pass to her on Monday. Sure do hope somebody somewhere can get me some lasting relief sometime...!

    1. I have no idea if it will help, but when cleaning I wear a mask because of dust allergy. The mask collects humidity as you breathe out and keeps your mouth from drying out. So if you have to breathe through your mouth it might be good to try a mask and see if it helps. Susan

    3. I hear you, and might concur, but right now I am dealing with thrush from the medicine they gave me for the original congestion. Was super stuffed up all day and it's a little bit better right now. SOOOO hoping it holds for at least 3 hours of sleep tonight.

  3. I don't know who wrote this, but it is the best explanation of trump I've seen so far.

When someone lies so often and with such ease, the line between mistake, manipulation, and mental lapse starts to blur, for us and him too.
    What you're seeing is:
PATHOLOGICAL IMPROVISATION: He doesn't process truth vs. viction in real time, he just talks. Loudly., Confidently. As if that's the same as being right.
ZERO IMPULSE CONTROL: He blurts things that "feel" powerful or flattering to himself, regardless of accuracy.
YEARS OF UNCHALLENGED LYING: He's been rewarded for this behavior by crowds, the enablers. So now he doesn't even bother to check if something makes sense.
NARCISSISTIC LOGIC: If he says it, it must be true. And if you question it , you're the problem.
He "rattles sh!t off" without thinking, because for him, truth has never been the goal, just dominance and applause. Facts are tools or obstacles in his performance. Susan

    1. "viction" = fiction. Can't edit as anonymous.

    2. Not being able to tell the difference between truth and fiction is one of the saddest maladies of all.
