DeleteI find this sd news. Alan has been a centerpiece of the blog and will be greatly missed when he eventually passes. I find myself wondering which lung disease he has. It sounds like one the biomedical researchers I used to work with may have studied. Not that I am suggesting I or the researchers know anything that might help.

DeleteThanks. I hadn't realized the link was to the specific disease: interstitial lung disease, possibly with pulmoney fibrosis. Yes, those are things my researchers studied, to frustratingly little effect.
