So, friends, just so you know, the new strain of Covid-19 (Nimbus) has reached the US and has jumped from 5% of all cases to 1/3. Wil and I are hoping to get another Covid shot sometime in the coming week...ahead of a Summer of family visits and Shiloh's huge celebration of life event on August 10th. The current vaccine is somewhat effective for the new strain, though not sure exactly how much. At least the new strain is a variation of Omicron, so that's where the vaccine could be helpful. As I understand it, the new strain isn't worse than past strains, at least.
Well, I'm late posting the front page again, but glad I popped by and noticed!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, Alan! Hoping you get sprung soon. 😊
ReplyDeleteLatest estimate by doctor I trust most is that I may make it another 6 months to two years. Home before too long.

We'll take all we can get, Alan. I'm well aware right now of not having enough time and that life is precious.
