Nick Martin: âBefore his censure, Congressman Paul Gosar made a big deal about having deleted the anime video depicting him killing AOC. Others in the Republican Party cited the deletion as a sign of good faith. Now, after the censure, Gosar has reposted the same video.â
And then: âAnd itâs gone. Congressman Paul Gosar took the anime video down again, this time after leaving it up for two hours.â

Talking Points Memo headline: Omar Goes On A Tear In Response To Boebertâs Racist Drivel
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), the first hijabi ever elected to Congress, didnât hold back last night after far-right extremist Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) called her a âjihad squad memberâ in an unhinged rant during the Houseâs vote on censuring fellow racist Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ).
Boebert is an âinsurrectionistâ who âdefecates and defilesâ the House and âsleeps with a pervert,â Omar tweeted. The Democrat was referring to Boebertâs husband being sentenced to jail for exposing himself to two women at a bowling alley in 2004.
When a conservative commentator at the Daily Wire tried to mock Omar with a reference to a ridiculous conspiracy theory that she married her brother, the congresswoman shot back with âsorry that your family hates you.â
Omar also posted a screenshot of the Daily Beastâs roundup [Click] of all the Trump figures whoâve been arrested or sentenced since 2015. Republicans âscream âlock them upâ yet they are the ones facing criminal investigation and indictments,â the Democrat tweeted, adding âKeep exposing these vile hypocrites.â

Josh Marshall: âNo more dying from Covidâ Iâve mentioned a few times recently both Merck and Pfizer have new COVID-targeted anti-viral medications which dramatically reduce the chances of severe disease and death if taken early in the course of illness. Merckâs pill (molnupiravir) reduced the risk of hospitalization by 50% if taken within 5 days of symptom onset; Pfizerâs pill (paxlovid) reduced the risk of hospitalization by 85% if taken with 5 days onset and 89% if taken within three days. Both treatments showed 100% efficacy against death.
From me: I doubt the Covid deniers will get themselves either diagnosed or treated within five days. That does make death even more optional than before.
Wool bathrobe for winter accessory here. My old jacket is showing its age, but it has proven exceedingly difficult to find a replacement that both fits me and appeals to me. I don't like the Michelin Man look. But we don't have much winter here, so it isn't important.
The kind of slippers I wore for a long time have become far too expensive, especially since I know the soles will fail in a way that makes them dangerous to walk in and impossible to repair. This Xmas I will experiment with slipper socks.
The attorney general, Phil Weiser, said all five indicted were charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. Some face additional charges.â
đ€Šđ»ââïžImmediately following his censure, Rep. Gosar retweeted the video.
