Time to Sail again!

  1. 🌟 YES!!! 🌟

    From Patrick Leahy:

On Wednesday: "the Senate voted to restore net neutrality and ensure a free and open internet.
"The Senate, including three Republican senators, voted to end the repeal of regulations that kept the internet an equal platform. And it's all because you spoke out, took action, and showed that you refused to allow big internet companies to make more money just to make the playing field uneven for the rest of us."

  2. So, I cut the cord - kept the internet and phone but dumped the cable TV. I got an antenna at Best Buy and it works just fine. I get a limited number of channels, but I do get Stephen Colbert and that was the one I was missing the most.

  3. Happy Muellerversary! The special prosecutor was appointed one year ago today.
Here is a comparative timeline of other special counsel investigations.[Click] No, Rudy, the poor little Prez hasn’t been tortured near enough.

  4. Oops! I was on yesterday's thread.

Just made two sales where I'd hoped for one. Well, "sale" is a generic term; no money is involved.

Anyway, I sent Shelley at Slate and Style the story about Snowball finding Cassie a new boyfriend. Following Bill's suggestion, I changed the title from 'Snowball's Revenge' to 'Snowball the Matchmaker." At the top I included a note to the effect that this story takes place several weeks after "Snowball the Wonder Cat," which won a prize in the NFB Writers Division Fiction Contest in whatever year. Everything was shipshape and precise, except I couldn't find or remember anything as to that first story's having been published in S&S. So I asked Shelley if she could dig up the info to make the note complete.

Well, she loved "Snowball the Matchmaker" but had no recollection of ever having seen "Snowball the Wonder Cat." So, she asked me to send that too. Just had an e-mail from her saying she'll publish them in back-to-back issues. Even though no money is involved, I'm pleased as Punch!
