It's been snowing here since this morning. At first the snow just melted off. By 2:00pm we had an inch of snow. Then it got heavy, for at 3:00pm we had 3 inches of snow! Some wind with it too, so even vertical surfaces are white. ALL our windows have had snow pelting them. Nice little storm, this!
Our own Susan D made the three knit hats on the right, bought the other two as well and sent them all for Ally, who had to have her hair cut this week because it was falling out after chemo. My fave is the cupcake hat, but I also love the braids and, well, all of them! You rock, Susan!! I hope the hats make Ally want to look in the mirror again because she's going to see someone really beautiful who was clothed by someone else who is really beautiful. ♥

This is the sweater that Hubby and I gave Daughter for her birthday. She gave me three of her best sweaters this past year, and I wanted to thank her for that. One she gave was from Ireland and her favourite, but it no longer fit her. I tried to get the same sweater but it couldn't be special sized. This one, however, could. I placed the order about three weeks ago and the website says it takes six weeks. So we figured we'd have to give it as a Christms gift. But! It was hand-knit by a woman named Rosemary M. Brearty and arrived two days before her birthday. Daughter loved it! What's more, this all happened while Ireland was having the worst flooding they've had in 80 years. Wishing the people there well...especially Rosemary. ♥
We took a walk in the woods on Saturday with our wildlife biologist son and our granddaughter. He had played there as a child and still knows it like the back of his hand. Now he wanted to show it to his daughter. Afterwards Hubby said, "I had a hole in my middle that got filled out there today." COMMENTS
